Prof. Claudio Lucchiari

Prof. Claudio Lucchiari (Ph.D.) is an Associate Professor of Cognitive Psychology at the Department of Philosophy, Università degli Studi di Milano, Italy. With a degree in Psychology from the Catholic University of Milan (2000), he earned his Ph.D. in Communication Psychology in 2004, focusing on the psychophysiological and EEG correlates of consciousness and emotions. He holds specializations in Neuropsychology and Psycho-oncology and has clinical experience from the National Neurological Institute of Milan. His interdisciplinary research explores cognitive and emotional processes, decision-making, creativity, and the use of technology for cognitive empowerment. He supervises several projects including MuSa (health and wellbeing in museums), Cognitive Methods and Technologies for Learning Empowerment, and Deep-learning models and the extended mind. He is the scientific coordinator of the ABSA project, validating the role of museums in wellbeing. Prof. Lucchiari has contributed extensively to psycho-oncology and risk-related decision-making and is affiliated with prestigious societies such as the European Society for Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience and the International Society for the Study of Creativity and Innovation. An editor and reviewer for top-tier journals, he has authored over 70 scientific publications, eight books, and numerous essays.
